How to install an eSIM on an iPad

Welcome to Oracces! This guide will walk you through installing your eSIM on your iPad, step by step. Installation only takes a few minutes and requires no special technical skills.
Before we begin
Ensure that the following conditions are met:
- Your iPad is eSIM compatible (Wi-Fi + Cellular models)
- iPadOS 16 or later is installed
- You are connected to the Internet (WiFi recommended)
- Your iPad is not carrier locked.
- You have received your Oracces activation email with the link or QR code.
Method 1: Installation via link (Recommended)
This is the simplest and fastest method. The link in your email automatically configures your eSIM!
Open the Oracces email
Open the confirmation email you received from Oracces on your iPad.
Locate the "Install my eSIM" button.

Click the button below to install your eSIM in seconds.
Click the install button
Press the "Install my eSIM" button directly from your iPad.
Your iPad will automatically open the eSIM settings with the information pre-filled.

Confirm installation
A confirmation screen will appear with the details of your Oracces package.
- Check the displayed information
- Tap "Add a data plan"

- Please wait while the eSIM profile is being downloaded (approximately 30 seconds)
- The eSIM is installed automatically
- Press "OK" when activation is complete.

Method 2: Installation via QR Code
If you prefer to use a QR code or if the link is not working, follow these steps:
Open Settings
Open the Settings app (grey icon with gears).

Access Cellular options
In Settings, tap Cellular Data .

Add a data plan
Tap Add a data plan or Add an eSIM .

Scan the QR Code
- Choose "Use a QR Code"
- Point your rear camera at the QR code received by email.
- Wait for the QR code to be detected automatically.

Activate the package
- Tap "Add a data plan"
- Please wait while the eSIM profile is being downloaded (approximately 30 seconds)
- Press "OK" when activation is complete.

This can take up to 30 seconds
Method 3: Manual Installation
If neither the link nor the QR code works, use the manual method:
In Settings > Cellular Data , tap Add Data Plan .
Tap "Enter details manually" at the bottom of the screen.
Enter the information provided in your email:

Press "Next" and then wait while it activates.
Configuration after installation
Once your eSIM is installed, you will need to configure it to use it:
Rename your eSIM
To better identify your Oracces plan:
- Go to Settings > Cellular Data
- Tap on your new eSIM line
- Select Data Plan Label
- Choose a name (e.g., Oracces Voyage )
Enable cellular data
To use the internet with your eSIM:
- In Settings > Cellular Data
- Enable Cellular Data
- Your iPad will automatically use the Oracces eSIM for data
Enable roaming
- Go to Settings > Cellular Data
- Press your Oracces line
- Enable Data Roaming
Check that everything works
To ensure your eSIM is installed correctly:
- Check that your operator's name appears in the status bar.
- Turn off WiFi and try opening a website
- Check your data usage in Settings > Cellular Data
- The signal bars must be visible
Common problems and solutions
❌ The eSIM does not activate
Solutions to try:
- Check that you have a stable internet connection (WiFi).
- Restart your iPad
- Make sure your iPad is not carrier locked
- Check that you have a Wi-Fi + Cellular model (and not Wi-Fi only)
- Contact our support team if the problem persists.
📶 No network or cellular data
Check the following points:
- Data roaming is enabled
- Cellular data is enabled.
- Airplane mode is off
- Your plan still has data available
- Reset network settings: Settings > General > Transfer or reset iPad > Reset > Reset Network Settings
📷 The QR code cannot be scanned
Try these solutions:
- Increase the brightness of the screen displaying the QR code
- Clean the rear camera lens of your iPad
- Make sure the QR code is complete and not cut off
- Hold your iPad about 20-30 cm from the QR code
- Use the manual installation method
⚠️ Error message "Unable to install"
This message may appear if:
- The QR code or link has already been used (an eSIM can only be installed once).
- Your iPad is only a Wi-Fi model (without Cellular)
- The eSIM profile is invalid or expired.
- Your internet connection is unstable
🔄 My iPad is not detecting a network
Solutions:
- Turn Airplane mode on and off
- Restart your iPad
- Check that you are in an area covered by a compatible operator.
- Wait a few minutes for the iPad to connect to the network.
